Q: Does the difficulty/grading of chem, ochem, bio 1a-b, physics 8a-b really differ depending on whether you take them in Fall or Spring (or Summer)?

The Answer

hi emily! the difficulty of those classes really depends on the professor. i would definitely look up professors on ratemyprofessor.com or ask people who have taken the classes before. i can tell you that pedersen is the best professor for ochem and jacobsen is good for physics! as for summer classes, they are a lot more fast-paced than fall/spring classes but because you're usually only taking one class, it's not too bad. if there's a class you're particularly nervous about, i would actually recommend taking it during the summer.

there are a lot of resources on campus where you can find out things such as which professors are less difficult than others. for example, i know that koinonia is having an "ask a senior" night on thursday 8/26 from 5-8pm at the YWCA on bancroft if you want to go check that out. hope this helps and good luck! :)
