Q: What are the pros and cons of the different dorms?

The Answer

Good question. So a quick breakdown is that Unit 3 is known to be the most social dorm and the most convenient dorm (a block away from campus and right next to a lot of the local restaurants), but it's also the noisiest and not the nicest as it's a little old. Unit 1 and 2 are like a newer, but toned down version of Unit 3. Unit 2 is a little further away, but both are close to the main dining common, Crossroads and a large soccer field. Engineers like living in Foothill because they are closer to the engineering buildings (on northside of campus), but students there also tend to close their doors. Clark Kerr has a nice campus and the rooms are larger, but it's much further from campus than the other dorms. Bowles and Sterns are single-gender dorms and most people have differing opinions on living there. But ultimately, people's dorm experience usually depends on how well they get along with the people on their floor.
