Q: I'm an AB540 student and to pay for tuition I will need to find a job myself and pay for it that way. I've applied for many scholarships but have not been granted many. Since I don't have a SSC# I will need to either find a job that will pay under the tab

Did you use maldef.org website? There' lots of scholarships listed there that will tell you if citizenship is required. Heres one link http://www.latinocollegedollars.org/searchresultspage.php
Those private scholarships are your best choice, make sure you apply to as many as you qualify. You can also contact private lending institutions that might be able to work something out. As for a job it would depend on the employer, each company has different requirements for who they want to hire. Just know that the you can't apply for state or federal scholarships or grants so you also don't quality for those work study jobs close to campus.
