Q: How hard is it to double major and still get good grades? I have a lot of different interests, and I find it hard to decide, but I don't want to be overloaded either.

The Answer

Hi Angela,

I would say, it depends on how good you are at school. I had a friend who was EECS & MCB Double Major, and he did really well. Actually, not only did he do really well in school, he also got stellar scores on the MCAT (44) and LSAT.

I am also a double major myself (Business and MCB), but I'm not that good at school. If I want good grades I usually have to study for it, but I don't study that much... So personally, I wouldn't recommend double majoring in two very different disciplines, because the classes don't overlap... unless you are the type that doesn't need to study that much and do well in classes. But if the two majors are somewhat related, or one of them isn't as intense as the other one (i.e. Business & Econ, MCB & Chinese...etc), then I'll say go for it!
