I'm on the waitlist for Psychology C 162, with a position of 41. The professor said students in the 20's, 30's range have a very good chance of getting in, so I'm at a loss whether I should drop it or stay. The professor mentioned that who gets in is not

I think you should stay...41 is not too bad, and especially first semester, there are a lot of changes and stuff. Do you have any backup classes?
If I have a discussion scheduled on Wednesday when classes start, but I don't have the first lecture for that class until Thursday, am I still supposed to go?

Hi Jennifer,
It depends on the class. Some classes are wait-listed or more people want to enroll in them so going to the first discussion is mandatory in determining your enrollment in the class. Other classes might not require you to attend your discussion on Wednesday. To be saf...
Hi, I'm in Chem 1a and on bspace, I read that all students must attend their lab sections during the first week of school. Well, my lab is on the 24th but instruction starts at 26th, so do I show up to my lab on the 24th or the 31st? Thanks

When is the best time to arrive at cal during move-in day after 10AM? Since I can't be there before 10AM.
Asked 6 months ago by CHUCK
Hi Chuck!
Since Move-in Day starts at 10AM, I would try to be there as soon as I can because there will be a line as more people arrive. Parking is probably going to be a hassle. You could also come later in the day around 4PM when the line should start to clear up because the bul...
Where is the cheapest place to buy good books? And is the price at the student store the cheapest?
Asked 6 months ago by Minh | EECS | CA
Comegetused.com is my first stop for buying AND selling textbooks! It's a textbook exchange network between Berkeley students where you can buy your books for a lot less than in the bookstore and sell it back for a more reasonable price too. (Just make sure to meet the seller in a ...
